Nancy then switched careers to the fashion industry for such corporate giants as The Limited, Saks Fifth Avenue, Calvin Klein and Paul Smith. Eighteen years after embarking on this journey she rose to vice president of sales for North America for a subsidiary of the European fashion conglomerate Jacques Jaunet.
In spite of her success in the corporate world, Nancy began to ask herself, How much money will they have to pay me to forget that I hate my life? She realized that the fashion industrys outward focusits constant concern about how things look externallywas incongruent with her own basic values and interests in the inner workings of peoples emotions and spiritual beliefs.
So Nancy took to the road to follow her own path to success. In 1992, she packed up her life and moved from New York to Seattle. In many ways, the physical trip across country mirrored the emotional journey she was also taking, one that led her back to her first dreamthat of being a psychotherapist and coach.
At age 39 she returned to school, earned her master's in psychology at Antioch University Seattle, and began her practice in the field of human potential.
Today Nancy continues her private practice in Seattle and also presents keynotes, training sessions and seminars around the United States. She has been featured on KOMO-TVs Northwest Afternoon and KIRO-TVs Hour Northwest; on news programs on KOMO, KIRO, and KING-TV; and on numerous radio programs. She was the relationship expert for Lights Out on the MIX 92 KLSY, sharing words of wisdom and anecdotes on life five nights a week.
Nancy resides in suburban Seattle with her two young children and is currently completing her first book.
